This guide is for you, a vendor, to connect your Shopify store to a Flxpoint customer’s account via the Flxpoint app. This will allow them to import your store catalog and send you orders for fulfillment. You’ll install the Flxpoint app in your Shopify admin and share the necessary API credentials and store URL with your Flxpoint contact. Follow these steps to complete the task quickly and securely.

How to Install the Flxpoint App in Shopify

Part 1: Navigate to the App Store

1. Log into Shopify Admin
2. Go to yourstore.myshopify.com/admin and sign in with your credentials
3. Navigate to the Shopify app store
4. From the left menu: Settings > Apps and sales channels > Shopify app store

Part 2: Install the Flxpoint App

1. Search for the Flxpoint app in the Shopify app store
2. Click the Install button and review app permissions to complete the install

Understanding and Sharing Your Credentials

After installing the app, Shopify provides the credentials your Flxpoint contact needs to connect your store. 

Click on View my access keys in the Are you a vendor authorizing a Flxpoint connection section:

You’ll see:

Store URL → Copy the Store URL

API Key → Copy the API Key

Important Note: If you plan to connect with another Flxpoint user, do not reauthenticate the Flxpoint app unless necessary. Re-authentication generates a new API key, which will disconnect any existing integrations.

Be sure to store your access keys securely when they are created. You won’t be able to view them again and would need to re-authenticate to generate new ones.

Share these details securely with your Flxpoint contact.

Send the API Key and your Store URL (.myshopify.com) to your Flxpoint contact via a secure channel (e.g., encrypted email or a shared vault). Do not post tokens in public channels.

Why This Matters

The Flxpoint app connects your Shopify store to your Flxpoint user's account using the credentials you provide. Products from your Shopify are pulled into Flxpoint and orders created in Flxpoint can be sent to your Shopify for fulfillment. This is a one-time setup and eliminates the need for sending manual updates.
