Effectively managing image formats is key for e-commerce, especially in drop-shipping, because it affects both the look and loading speed of your online store. 
 

Verify the image format across various Channels

1. Amazon

  • Formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF
  • Preferred: JPEG for product photos

2. eBay

  • Formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF
  • Preferred: JPEG for general product images, PNG for images needing transparency

3. Shopify

  • Formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
  • Preferred: JPEG for most images, WebP for optimized delivery

4. Walmart

  • Formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF
  • Preferred: JPEG for product images

5. BigCommerce

  • Formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
  • Preferred: JPEG and WebP for optimized performance

6. WooCommerce

  • Formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP

Avoid image overwrite

You can also add your own image on Shopify, however, if you don't want the images overwritten, you can set Publish Template's image field to don't map
