Build Your First Product
Goal: Create a new product from your inventory feed.
Scenario: You’ve imported inventory and want to build a product that can later be published as a listing.
Steps:
- Navigate to Catalog → Inventory.
- Use the quick filter No Products to view inventory not yet built into products.
- 💡 Use the “No Products” quick filter in the Inventory view to instantly see which SKUs have not yet been built into products. This makes it easy to identify new items added to your feed that still need products created.
- Select the SKUs you want to build.
- Click Create and Link Products.
- Choose one of the two options in the modal:
- Link to Existing Products — Match selected inventory to products already created.
- Create and Link — Build new products (and optionally listings) from selected inventory.
- Click Continue and follow prompts to complete.
🧪 You’ve learned the basic flow! Inventory can be converted into products and then into listings.

🔍 Explanation
What Are Products?
Products represent the core data you build from inventory. They can later be customized, enriched, and published as listings on your sales channels.
How Building Products Works
When you select inventory and choose to build products, Flxpoint creates product records. You can either stop there to edit products or continue to create listings directly from them.
Best Practices
- Use No Products filter to quickly identify new SKUs needing products.
- Link to existing products when duplicates exist to maintain clean data.
- Create products first if you want to add attributes or customizations before listing.
