How to Route Orders

Overview

Order Routing is made simple in FLX with two main options: Preferred Source Priority or Lower Cost Routing.

To locate your Order Routing settings:

  • Click Settings
  • Select Orders

Preferred Source Routing

This order routing runs from the top to the bottom.

  • Flxpoint will begin order routing by verifying if the order can be fulfilled by your #1 source.
  • If for any reason, the order cannot be fulfilled by your #1 source then the system will attempt to fulfill the order at the #2 source.
  • If #2 is not able to fulfill the order, the system will move on to the next option and so forth.

To enable the fulfillment source for routing, click the grey toggle to the right of the source.


Lower Cost Routing

This order routing runs from the preferred source to the lowest cost.

  • FLX  will begin order routing by verifying if the order can be fulfilled by your Preferred Source
  • If the order cannot be fulfilled by the Preferred Source, the system will attempt to find the lowest cost based the sources inventory and order fees


Order Automation

This section provides two options:

  • Order Hold
    • Multiple Fulfillment Requests
    • Contains Firearms
  • Auto Process Fulfillment Requests

The Order hold setting add an extra layer of protect for you to look over orders which contain sensitive products.


Additional Settings

This section allows you to format your Fulfillment Request number and take action on orders that cannot be routed.

Order Cannot be Routed

  • This will be activated if an order does not have an eligible shipping method, item couldn't had no quantity, etc.

This setting is commonly put on hold if you prefer to wait for products quantity to refill, so you can fulfill customers orders instead of canceling.
