Category Viewer

The Category Viewer allows you to explore and manage product and supplier categories within the Inventory and Products sections. This tool makes it easier to filter, view, and standardize product categories, helping you maintain accurate listings while preventing duplicates.

Whether you’re reviewing inventory or organizing products from multiple suppliers, the ability to see and refine category data ensures that your customers receive consistent and reliable product information.

How to View and Filter Categories

To access the category viewer, navigate to either the Inventory or Products section. Clicking the Category Filter button will open a dropdown containing all available categories. Only categories with associated products or inventory will appear, keeping the list relevant.

Categories are structured in multiple levels. If you select a subcategory, such as “Totes,” the system will automatically include its parent category, “Bags & Totes.” This helps maintain logical groupings and ensures no product is missing from broader searches.

If you need to refine your selection, the dropdown allows easy scrolling when the list exceeds the visible area.

Managing Filters

Once a category is selected, it remains locked in the filter view to prevent accidental modifications. If you wish to remove a category, simply click the “X” next to it.

  • If a subcategory is removed, the parent category will remain unless you manually remove it as well.
  • Deselecting a main category will remove all associated subcategories.

Filters automatically adjust and wrap within the available space, ensuring they remain easy to read even when multiple filters are applied.
