BigCommerce as a source in Flxpoint allows you to connect and sync your BigCommerce store to efficiently manage inventory, pricing, and orders. By integrating BigCommerce, you can retrieve product data, track stock levels, and update pricing automatically. Additionally, Flxpoint supports importing hidden products, handling multiple variations, and mapping attributes to streamline your operations. This integration ensures accurate data synchronization, helping you manage your BigCommerce store effectively within your supply chain processes.
How To Connect
-
Navigate to the Connections tab.
-
Click on Fulfillment Sources.
-
Click on +Add Source.
-
Name it and select the source type.
-
Click Manual Connection and then click Continue.
-
Add the new source from the Manual Connection, following the on-screen instructions to enter credentials.
-
Click Save Connection.
Important: For connecting a vendor's BigCommerce store, using the API Key method is recommended. This is because Flxpoint users often add vendor stores, and the API Key method provides better control over connection settings and permissions. For your own BigCommerce store, the OAuth2 method may be used as it simplifies the process by automatically setting permissions.
Using an API Key is recommended for connecting a vendor's BigCommerce store. This method provides better control over connection settings and allows for manual configuration of permissions.
-
Obtain the following details from the vendor or BigCommerce admin:
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Store Hash
- In Flxpoint, navigate to the Source Integration Page and click Add Connection.
- Select New Connection and choose BigCommerce as the connection type.
- Choose API Key as the connection method.
- Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Store Hash, then click Continue.
Important: Keep the API credentials secure. If they are lost, they must be regenerated in the BigCommerce admin.

Connecting via OAuth2 is an alternative for your own BigCommerce store. This method ensures that all required permissions are automatically set up in BigCommerce, simplifying the integration process.
- In Flxpoint, navigate to the Source Integration Page and click Add Connection.
- Select New Connection and choose BigCommerce as the connection type.
- Choose OAuth2 as the connection method.
- Enter your Store Hash (e.g., abc123) when prompted and click Continue.
- Authorize the connection when redirected to BigCommerce.
Locating Store Hash: Copy the alphanumeric code from your BigCommerce admin URL. For example, if your store URL is https://store-123456789.mybigcommerce.com/, "123456789" is your store hash.
Important: Ensure you log in to BigCommerce and confirm the connection for it to work properly.

Product Operations
This section outlines the product operations available when integrating BigCommerce as a source. The operations are categorized for better understanding and include examples, supported features, and limitations.
Get Inventory & Pricing
Get Inventory & Pricing – Supported
This operation allows retrieving inventory and pricing details from your BigCommerce store. Ensure the following settings are configured:
- Do Not Import Hidden Products: Enable this setting to exclude archived products.
- Product Page Size Limit: Set the maximum number of products per page to avoid performance issues.
Operation Workflow
We download the latest product feed from an FTP source, mapping each row as a unique variant.
We convert weights from “oz” to “lbs” and capture attributes like “Volume” or “Gender.”
Pricing is generic and may not always have a retail field; quantity is also included.
Troubleshooting
- If the file can’t be parsed, the entire operation fails with an error log.
- Check for updated feeds if certain SKUs or pricing are missing.

Send order data to BigCommerce, ensuring customer and item details are mapped correctly.
- Order Customer ID: Choose from guest orders, creating new customers, or using existing customers.
- Shipping Selection: Map shipping methods unique to each customer.
Example of customer mapping:
We submit orders (address + items) to the supplier’s endpoint. On success, we receive a unique “Order ID” (confirmation number). If an error occurs, the request is fully rejected; a “success with warning” is logged but does not block processing.
