Delisting and Managing Listings

This document provides step-by-step guidance on managing your product listings in Flxpoint, with a focus on delisting published listings and performing other listing actions. Properly managing listings ensures your sales channels remain accurate and prevents issues when removing products. Importantly, always delist listings before deleting them to avoid losing the ability to manage them on the channel.

Why Delist Before Deleting?

Delisting a product removes it from the sales channel while keeping the listing data in Flxpoint, allowing you to manage or re-list it later if needed. If a listing is still published on a channel, and you delete it in Flxpoint, you will no longer be able to use Flxpoint to delist it from the channel, which can lead to discrepancies. Always delist first to maintain control over your listings.

 

 

 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Delisting

Follow these steps to delist published listings in Flxpoint:

  1. Navigate to Products:
    • From the Flxpoint dashboard, click on "Products" in the left-hand menu to access your product listings.
  2. Filter for Published Listings:
    • In the Products section, locate the "Filter" button at the top right.
    • Click "Filter," then select "Status" and choose "Published" from the dropdown to display only published listings.
  3. Select Listings:
    • Check the first checkbox next to "Status" at the top of the list to select the visible listings on the current page.
    • Click "Select all X" (where X is the total number of published listings) to select all published listings across all pages.
  4. Access Actions Menu:
    • With the listings selected, click the "Actions" dropdown at the top of the page.
  5. Change Listing Status:
    • From the Actions menu, select "Change Listing Status."
    • A list of status options will appear (e.g., Delisted, Hidden, Paused). Choose "Delisted" to remove the listings from the sales channel.
  6. Confirm and Apply:
    • Confirm your selection and apply the changes. The selected listings will now be delisted from the channel but remain in Flxpoint for future management.

 

 

Other Listing Actions

You can perform additional actions on your listings using the same process:

  • Hide Listings: Use the "Hidden" status to temporarily remove listings from the channel without fully delisting them.
  • Pause Listings: Select "Paused" to pause listings on the channel, useful for seasonal or temporary holds.
  • Re-list Listings: If a listing is delisted, hidden, or paused, you can change its status back to "Published" to re-list it on the channel.

     

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • Cannot Delist a Listing:
    • Ensure the listing is still in Flxpoint. If you deleted the listing while it was published, you can no longer delist it through Flxpoint. You’ll need to manually remove it from the sales channel.
    • Verify your connection to the sales channel is active in Flxpoint under "Connections."
       
  • Listing Status Not Updating:
    • Check the sync status in Flxpoint to ensure the change has been processed. Sync delays may occur depending on the channel.
    • Confirm the channel supports the status change (e.g., some channels may not support "Paused").


       

Best Practices

  • Always delist listings before deleting them in Flxpoint to maintain control over channel synchronization.
  • Use filters to manage specific groups of listings (e.g., Published, Delisted) for bulk actions.
  • Regularly review your listings in the Products section to ensure statuses align with your sales strategy.
