UPS as a Source

Overview

UPS can be integrated as a source within Flxpoint to automatically import shipping and tracking data. By connecting UPS, you can streamline the process of managing shipments, ensuring that tracking information is synced with your orders in real-time. This integration supports automatic updates of shipment status, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations, helping you efficiently manage logistics and improve order fulfillment accuracy.

How to Connect

To connect to UPS, you need to follow these key steps:

  • Navigate to 'Connections': Go to the 'Connections' section in your Flxpoint dashboard and select ‘Fulfillment Sources.’

  • Add New Source: Click on 'Add Source' and choose any primary source that supports most of your operations like syncing inventory, managing orders, etc.

  • UPS as a Source for 'Get Shipments': If UPS is only being used for getting shipments, in addition to the primary source, click on Integrations after setting up the primary source. In the 'Get Shipments' section, select UPS as the shipment tracking provider.

  • Enter UPS API Credentials: For UPS integration, you'll need to provide the Client ID and Client Secret which can be generated through your UPS Developer account. Go to the UPS Developer Portal and create an application. This will generate the Client ID and Client Secret that you'll need to input in the Flxpoint connection setup.

  • Enable the Integration: After entering the necessary credentials, enable the UPS integration under ‘Get Shipments.’ If you want to use another source for all other operations, this will remain the active source, while UPS will handle only the shipment tracking.

  • Finalize and Test: Save the setup and verify that the connection is working by running a test for shipment imports.
